Sunday 16th February.
Went for a walk in the morning.
Met Sue, Jo and Malc (herewith known as S,J and M) in the square and came back here for tea and cake on the balcony. I had been given some lemons so had made a lemon drizzle cake.
Monday 17th February
A cold, misty day. Sue not well. Jo and Malc came down to town and Malc and I went for a walk. Met up with Jo and we went to Akira. Canasta pm.
Tuesday 18th February.
A dreadful cold, foggy day such a change from our normal blue skies.
We went up to S,J and M’s for lunch where they are staying in Benimiet. Played cards pm so not a bad way to spend a miserable day with good food and good company.
Wednesday 19th February.
Sue still not well. J and M came down mid morning. M went for a walk and Jo and walked and shopped. Met up with M and N for coffee at the Chinese. TV cameras and heavy police presence in town due to the following.

We then went to the Tasca restaurant where we had lunch with John and Cheryl. Gambas in oil and garlic followed by ox tail stew for me, yummy 😋.
Thursday20th February
An early start for N and I as we were going on a U3A trip to the museum of art and science in Valencia.

We walked up to the coach and took our seats at 8.15 and the coach left promptly at 8.30. The drive there took about an hour and a half and we dropped up some passengers who were visiting the city centre before going on to our destination. We’ve not visited Valencia before and fleeting impressions were of some beautiful old buildings and a lot of traffic!
Although we had seen photos of the museum we were not prepared for the breathtaking views of it in “real life”.
We spent about 3 hours wandering around looking at various exhibits and taking a rest here and there to people watch! A quick lunch in the cafeteria and a stroll outside before going into the hemisphere to watch the showing of the IMAX film of space exploration.
We were back on our coach for the return journey at 4.30pm after a brilliant and informative day out.
Friday 21 st February.
Finally the sun shines and Sue is back on form😃.
M went for a walk and S, J and I went for walk round seafront, beach and town. Met up with M and N for coffee at Chinese and then went for lunch at El Pescador where we were able to eat outside with a view of the marina.
Saturday 22nd February.
I went to conversation and afterwards had a walk and called in at Fishy Fishy to order lunch which S,J and M will pick up at 1pm.
They arrived with the fish and chips and we ate here before sitting on the balcony and playing cards for the afternoon. After a while it got to hot (!) and we had to move back indoors. We finished, off, the afternoon with a visit to the gelateria where we had a big ice cream. Not a bad way to spend the day!
